Also, after the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard. Adaptive 6-stage charging algorithm The Blue Power charger features a microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management. Adaptive means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the type of battery usage. Storage mode: less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use Storage mode is activated whenever there has been no discharge within 24 hours. The charge maintenance voltage is then lowered to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas generation and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the level of the gassing voltage. This provides a type of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the two main causes of premature battery failure. Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteries LiFePO4 batteries are charged using a simple constant current phase > constant voltage phase > charge retention voltage phase algorithm. The NIGHT and LOW settings When the unit is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the rated output and the charger operates absolutely silently. The NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be terminated manually. Protection against overheating The output current is reduced when the temperature rises up to 50°C, but the Blue Power charger does not fail.

Extremely low power consumption This is important in the case of lithium-ion batteries, especially after shutdown due to low voltage level.Please refer to our lithium-ion battery data sheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual for more information. Overvoltage protection To prevent sensitive loads from being damaged by an overvoltage, the load is switched off whenever the DC voltage exceeds the value of 16.3 V or 32.6 V, respectively. Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated when the battery voltage drops below the preset value for shutdown for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, turning on the engine will not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output connected to the negative (minus) rail. Max. Current 50 mA. The alarm output is normally used to activate an audible signal, LED or relay. Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection The load is turned off 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset threshold. If the battery voltage rises again to the threshold for connection within this period (after the motor has been started, for example), the load is not switched off.the load is switched on again 30 seconds after the battery voltage exceeds the preset threshold for reconnection.

BlueSolar Charge Regulator MPPT Solar charge controller for 12V and 24V batteries Ultra fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Especially in overcast conditions when light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast MPPT regulator improves energy output by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. Load output Deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has been discharged to a preset voltage value. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected: see Battery Life. The load output is short-circuit proof. Some loads (especially inverters) are best connected directly to the battery. Inverter remote control is best connected to the load output. Battery Life: intelligent battery management If the solar charge regulator is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within a day, the battery status will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charge) will damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months.The Battery Life algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and if necessary, day after day, raises the load disconnect threshold (i.e., disconnects the load sooner) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to near 100%. From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated so that charging to near 100% is achieved approximately once a week. Monitoring and control The charge regulator also features a programmable battery charging algorithm and a day/night time control with light dimming option. Monitoring can be done with the appropriate accessories either with a remote control or via a Bluetooth connection and a smartphone.
