The GX-GSM is a modem & GPS accessory for Victron GX monitoring products. It is a cellular modem that provides mobile internet for the system and connection to the VRM portal. It works on 2G, 3G and 4G networks and includes a built-in GPS receiver.When the optional GPS antenna is installed, the system can be both located and geographically constrained via the VRM portal.Note that many telecom operators are in the process of shutting down their 3G networks.

Solar charge regulator MPP 165 Duo Digital MPPT solar charge controller with two charge outputs for automatic charging of the on-board and starter battery. MPP solar regulator for high quality motorhomes, caravans and boats. Votronic "MPP" (Maximum-Power-Point) series solar controllers with "IU1oU2" charging characteristic are connected as a link between solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller continuously and automatically determines the maximum power point (MPP) of the solar panels several times per second. It then transforms the excess voltage of the solar module to a higher charging current for the battery (realized by high frequency switching controller technology with high efficiency). This charging current gain ensures shorter charging times and the best possible power utilization of the solar system. The MPP solar controllers are fully automatic, maintenance free and offer the following functions: MPP charge current increase compared to conventional controllers by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%) due to the use of the latest controller technology (microprocessor). The increase in performance is particularly noticeable during the cooler seasons and, for example, during periods of high snow, low and diffuse lighting (hibernation). High efficiency With up to 94% efficiency, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Also, after the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard. Adaptive 6-stage charging algorithm The Blue Power charger features microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management. Adaptive means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the type of battery usage. Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in useStorage mode is activated whenever there has been no discharge within 24 hours. The charge maintenance voltage is then lowered to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas generation and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the level of the gassing voltage. This provides a type of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the two main causes of premature battery failure. Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteriesLiFePO4 batteries are charged using a simple constant current phase > constant voltage phase > charge retention voltage phase algorithm. The NIGHT and LOW settings When the unit is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the rated output and the charger operates absolutely silently. The NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be terminated manually. Protection against overheating The output current is reduced when the temperature rises up to 50°C, but the Blue Power charger does not fail.

Battery protection Smart BatteryProtect The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from the less important loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage it) or before it no longer has enough energy to start the engine. By using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, all required on/off thresholds can be set. Alternatively, one of nine preset on/off thresholds can be set using the programming pin (see manual). If necessary, the Bluetooth function can be turned off. Protects the battery from deep discharge and can be used as a system on/off switch. Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from the less important loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage it) or before it no longer has enough energy to start the engine. The on/off input can be used as a system on/off switch. Bluetooth: Easy programming By using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, all required on/off thresholds can be set.Alternatively, one of nine preset on/off thresholds can be set using the programming pin (see manual).If necessary, the Bluetooth function can be turned off. Setting for lithium-ion batteries In this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS. Note: The BatteryProtect can also be used as a charge interrupter between a battery charger and a lithium-ion battery. See connection diagram in the manual. Extremely low power consumption This is important in the case of lithium-ion batteries, especially after shutdown due to low voltage level.Please refer to our lithium-ion battery data sheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual for more information. Overvoltage protection To prevent sensitive loads from being damaged by an overvoltage, the load is switched off whenever the DC voltage exceeds the value of 16.3 V or 32.6 V, respectively. Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated when the battery voltage drops below the preset value for shutdown for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, turning on the engine will not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output connected to the negative (minus) rail. Max. Current 50 mA. The alarm output is normally used to activate an audible signal, LED or relay. Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection The load is turned off 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset threshold. If the battery voltage rises again to the threshold for connection within this period (after the motor has been started, for example), the load is not switched off.the load is switched on again 30 seconds after the battery voltage exceeds the preset threshold for reconnection.

Load output Deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has been discharged to a predefined voltage value. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected: see Battery Life. The load output is short-circuit proof. Some loads (especially inverters) connect best directly to the battery. Inverter remote control connectes best to the load output. A special interface cable may be required, please refer to the manual. Battery Life: intelligent battery management If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within one day, the status of the battery will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charge) will damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months.The Battery Life algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and if necessary, day after day, raises the load disconnect threshold (i.e., disconnects the load sooner) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to near 100%. From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated so that charging to nearly 100% is achieved about once a week. Built-in Bluetooth Smart: No dongle needed. The charge controller also has a programmable battery charging algorithm and day/night time control with light dimming option. Monitoring can be done with the appropriate accessories either with a remote control or via a Bluetooth connection and a smartphone. With MPP technology, the controller continuously and automatically determines the maximum power point (MPP) of the solar panels several times per second. It then transforms the excess voltage of the solar module to a higher charging current for the battery (realized by high frequency switching controller technology with high efficiency). This charging current gain ensures shorter charging times and the best possible power utilization of the solar system. The MPP solar controllers are fully automatic, maintenance free and offer the following functions: MPP charge current increase compared to conventional controllers by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%) due to the use of the latest controller technology (microprocessor). The increase in performance is particularly noticeable during the cooler seasons and, for example, during periods of high snow, low and diffuse lighting (hibernation). For charging lead-gel, lead-AGM, lead-acid batteries or LiFePO4 complete batteries (with integrated BMS, balancing, safety circuit and approval!) of the specified nominal voltages and the co-supply of consumers connected to these batteries in permanently installed systems with the specified battery capacities and charging programs.
