The PG safety cable glands ensure flush and gap-free sheathing of the cables, so that the penetration of dirt and water can be ruled out. The roof ducts round off your motorhome mounting system consisting of retaining spoilers, mounting corners and connectors and enable a solid mounting of your solar island system on the vehicle roof and a safe introduction of the cables into the living space.

BlueSolar Charge Regulator MPPT Solar charge controller for 12V and 24V batteries Ultra fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Especially in overcast conditions when light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast MPPT regulator improves energy output by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. Load output Deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has been discharged to a preset voltage value. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected: see Battery Life. The load output is short-circuit proof. Some loads (especially inverters) are best connected directly to the battery. Inverter remote control is best connected to the load output. A special interface cable may be required, please refer to the manual. Battery Life: intelligent battery management If the solar charge regulator is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within a day, the battery status will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charge) will damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months.The Battery Life algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and if necessary, day after day, raises the load disconnect threshold (i.e., disconnects the load sooner) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to near 100%. From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated so that charging to near 100% is achieved approximately once a week. Monitoring and control The charge regulator also features a programmable battery charging algorithm and a day/night time control with light dimming option. Monitoring can be done with the appropriate accessories either with a remote control or via a Bluetooth connection and a smartphone. Use these retaining spoiler corners as aerodynamic fasteners for small solar modules or as additional stabilization for larger modules to ensure optimum and secure hold on the roof of your motor home. The profiles provide better wind resistance when driving and, due to the distance between the solar module and the mounting surface, optimum rear ventilation of the module. Thus, compared to direct mounting, a significant increase in performance can be achieved by cooling the solar panel. Battery protection Smart BatteryProtect The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from the less important loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage it) or before it no longer has enough energy to start the engine. By using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, all required on/off thresholds can be set. Alternatively, one of nine preset on/off thresholds can be set using the programming pin (see manual). If necessary, the Bluetooth function can be turned off. Protects the battery from deep discharge and can be used as a system on/off switch. The on/off input can be used as a system on/off switch. Setting for lithium-ion batteries In this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS. Note: The BatteryProtect can also be used as a charge interrupter between a battery charger and a lithium-ion battery. See connection diagram in the manual. Extremely low power consumption This is important in the case of lithium-ion batteries, especially after shutdown due to low voltage level.Please refer to our lithium-ion battery data sheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual for more information. Overvoltage protection To prevent sensitive loads from being damaged by an overvoltage, the load is switched off whenever the DC voltage exceeds the value of 16.3 V or 32.6 V, respectively. Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated when the battery voltage drops below the preset value for shutdown for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, turning on the engine will not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output connected to the negative (minus) rail. Max. Current 50 mA. The alarm output is normally used to activate an audible signal, LED or relay. Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection The load is turned off 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset threshold. If the battery voltage rises again to the threshold for connection within this period (after the motor has been started, for example), the load is not switched off.the load is switched on again 30 seconds after the battery voltage exceeds the preset threshold for reconnection.
